When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the modern age of mineral collecting. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Paki Himalayas, especially in the Shigar Valley. This specimen features a gorgeous, light blue color prismatic "spray" or "flower" of Aquamarine crystals measuring 2.6 cm and associated with Quartz on white Feldspar matrix. The Aqua is pretty good quality, and the piece is quite aesthetic.
