Item Description
This Aquamarine specimen was mined by Richard Kosnar in the late 1970's and his diggings produced some of the finest color, unheated Aquamarine in the world. Most of these crystals are not gem quality, but this crystal is very gemmy, which is certainly impressive for the material. This crystal is a fine, sharp, lustrous, rich blue color, hydrothermally ethced crystal of Aquamarine from one of the more obscure localities for the material. The graceful appearance combined with the beautiful color make a lovely thumbnail sized gem crystal. One simply does not see these beauties offered very often on the market anymore. This piece is definitely one of the better blue color crystals of this material that I've offered for auction. Don't miss out on this great North American gem crystal classic.
