Item Description

When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the modern age of mineral collecting. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Pakistani Himalayas, especially the pieces from around Shigar. This locality has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine specimens in recent years. This specimen features a good quality, sharp, lustrous, soft blue color prismatic crystal group of Aquamarine with a unique pseudo-scepter appearance. The piece is in great shape overall, and is essentially a complete "floater" as I can't really find a point of attachment. Ex Herb Obodda, though he had it labeled as "Goshenite", but it's clearly blue, so I'm calling it an Aqumarine.
