Item Description
A beautiful natural greenish-blue color crystal of Aquamarine from Itinga with smooth, sharp, lustrous faces on all sides. You don't see a lot of euhedral well-formed Brazilian Aquamarine crystals like this on the market (a lot of them are typically etched), and this particular piece dates back 20-30 years I would say. Beautiful three-dimensional form, which allows the piece to be displayed from several angles. A wonderful miniature sized piece of this classic Brazil material. Weight is 53.01 grams. From the collection of Robert (Bob) Reynolds who passed in August of 2020. Bob was a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino County Museum in California. The rare phyllomanganate-chromate species Reynoldsite was named in his honor in 2011.
