Aquamarine (DT) with Orthoclase and Schorl

Outstanding, doubly-terminated Aquamarine from the famous Erongo Mountains. This 4.7 cm Aqua has very gemmy terminations, excellent luster, and a fine cornflower blue color. It is very reminiscent of the Aqua on the cover of the May/June, 2007 Rocks & Minerals. The Aqua rests across a large Orthoclase crystal, and is associated with a small, lustrous terminated Schorl that complements the Aqua nicely. The pics tell the story.
