Aquamarine (doubly-terminated GEM crystal)

Item Description

A wonderful GEM QUALITY, doubly-terminated, soft blue colored crystal of Aquamarine from the famous Shigar Valley in Pakistan. The crystal has brilliantly lustrous, razor-sharp prism faces and is virtually water clear through the majority of the piece. A small amount of attached black Schorl can be seen at the base of the specimen. The top termination shows a tiny bit of a "cat's eye" effect when rotated in the light, and I can see a small semi-"phantom" floating inside the lower portion of the crystal. No major damage, but there is a bit of interrupted growth on the top termination, but it's not broken. Specimen weight is 3.63 grams.
