Item Description

Blue beryl crystals are a classic species from the well-known pegmatites of the Portland area. A 2.4 cm, classic cornflower-blue, lustrous, translucent, textbook hexagonal prism is aesthetically set in the blocky pegmatitic smoky quartz and feldspar matrix. A showy and highly representative small cabinet combination example of the species and locale from the David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
