Item Description
This is an amazing, really uniquely aesthetic cluster of glassy and gemmy, sky-blue aquamarines joined at the hip. The result is a cityscape appearance composed of many crystals with multiple terminations, coalescing into two major crystals at the base. The stairstep pattern is augmented by the spectacular vertical striations that run the entire length of each prismatic face, emphasizing the unusual geometry of the piece as a whole and making it draw the eye. The top portions of the crystals are very gemmy, and the terminations exhibit incipient etching which causes them to sparkle a bit more than normal. A major, captivating aqua specimen that weighs 562 grams, well more than a pound. This is one I bought direct by satellite phone and email, within a week of it being mined in 2008. It is a complete-all-around, major display specimen. Valued $6000-7500
