Aquamarine (big xl) on Muscovite (David Burgess Coll.)

Item Description

An impressive large tabular, hexagonal aquamarine crystal is dramatically set upright on the sculptural large pearlescent muscovite plate matrix on this very aesthetic combination from Mt. Xuebaoding. The pristine, 7.2 x 3.9 x 2.4 cm, light grayish blue-green doubly terminated crystal is lustrous, glassy, mostly translucent with some transparent areas and has typically satin luster edge faces. The 2.8 cm cluster of doubly terminated quartz crystals on one side is a very cute accent. A striking and excellent large two-sided combination from the David Burgess Collection. Very few new specimens have come from here lately.
