Item Description

What an impressive and striking specimen from this contemporary classic locality. These specimens are some of the most unique and attractive Aquas from any locality. Tjhey have become some of the most distinctive and easily recognizable Aquas on the planet. Tabular Aquamarine crystals are rare, but some of the Aquas from Xuebaoding are absolutely superb quality to boot! This particular piece features a predominant, sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy, light blue, unusually tabular hexagonal crystal of Aquamarine measuring 7.1 cm across associated with many smaller fine quality Aquas and sitting atop a crystallized matrix of compressed, bladed, silvery Muscovite crystals. The main crystal is big for the locality, and is in great condition along with being doubly-terminated, THICK and gemmy, when so many from this locality are essentially opaque. The quality is very good all around. A beautiful display specimen from this unique locality. Originally valued at $3500, and possibly worth more on the retail market today.
