Item Description

A dramatic and aesthetic CABINET combination specimen from the NEW FIND in August, 2009 in the Erongo Moutains. The gemmy and lustrous aquas have robust blue color and as usual, the termination areas are very gemmy. The stunning large crystal, with a nifty stepped termination, is 6.9 cm! The schorls are super lustrous, striated and jet-black. The matrix of ivory-colored, very sharp to etched orthoclase crystals is an outstanding compliment to the blue and black. This striking piece is complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only super-trivial, barely noticeable termination edgewear to the secondary aqua and a very modest amount of periphery wear. We have posted Gallery updates on this new find and we want to have our auction customers have an opportunity to obtain a very representative example from this find. This is not a castoff. And this fine piece has numerous display possibilities, as you can see.
