Aquamarine and Schorl

Not often do you find Schorls capable of sharing equal billing (at least on the same pieces) with the famous Erongo Aquas, but this small cabinet has just that. The Aquas are lustrous and partially gemmy throughout with the terminations being glassy and totally gemmy in the narrow upper zone. The largest Aqua is 4.3 cm, and has included Schorls. What makes the primary Schorls in the specimen so appealing, in addition to their excellent luster, is the fantastic 5 cm fanlike spray that they form. This fan is at about 100 degrees to the main Aqua, so there is great display potential.
