An important, impressive and RARE large matrix aquamarine from the old famous Rice Mine pegmatite of New Hampshire, where mining started before 1897. A stunning large 11.8 x 2.6 cm, textbook, hexagonal aquamarine crystal is dramatically and aesthetically set in the sculptural, granular, sugary marble matrix. The lustrous, translucent, layered aqua is a pretty greenish-blue and is partially terminated, with a minimally detracting contact on the front of the termination. The nearly pristine aqua has just a bit of hard-to-see expert restoration from the Mineralogical Collection Professionals of Milan, Italy. Interesting modest lavender marble fluorescence.
