This specimen is literally a classic definitive example of the intense pastel blue aquamarines with rich color, and contrast to white feldspar, that have intermittently come out of this famous gem producing valley in Pakistan. It presents a gorgeous contrast, with the matrix displaying a cluster of aquamarines spraying out atop a well trimmed and balanced piece. Remarkably for the size, it has no repairs! No repairs, and complete all around - it is hard to ask for more in a specimen of this size and impact, in a fair price range. Although not the gemmiest, or strongest color, or fanciest termination, compared to those aquamarines from other localities here in Pakistan, this somehow has a presence to it that appeals, and is unique for the combination of it's own features. The main crystal measures 8 x 3.5 x 3 cm and has fantastic form and color both. From the large aquamarine suite of the Meieran collection, which records a history of 30 years of modern production from Pakistan, from the 1990s - today, this is an important example of a particular style and find. The white feldspar matrix is festooned with numerous fluorescent yellow apatites. Valued $12-15k.
