Item Description

An oddity from a discovery in 2004.  This is really cool for Beryl, as one rarely sees bi-colored crystals like this from any locality, but it's even more unusual when one of those colors is WHITE.   This three-dimensional display specimen features several sharp, lustrous, translucent, soft blue (Aquamarine) and white / colorless prisms of Beryl flaring out in several directions. The gemmy terminations of some of the larger crystals actually show a bit of a "cat's eye" effect.   The largest crystal measures 2.6 cm long.  Additionally, if you look towards the center of the specimen, you can see some spots where a white "rind" is surrounding a central blue "core".  These areas are NOT BROKEN, as they are clearly crystallized (most likely they were broken at one point and healed / "re-healed").  A few thin black prisms of Schorl Tourmaline can be seen here and there for a nice contrast as well. There honestly is only a tiny bit of damage that I can find aside from the back of the piece where it was removed from the pocket.    A unique and eye-catching Beryl from the same locality that produced the fantastic Aqua/Morganite bi-color Beryls several years ago.  If you collect pegmatite crystals, Beryls or minerals of Pakistan, this piece would make a great addition to any collection.  Priced at $950 in the inventory.
