These Vietnamese Aquas are some of the richest blue gem quality Beryls you will see from any locality. The started coming out around a decade ago, and the limited supply has kept them from becoming abundant on the market, but they are certainly sought after by collectors. The combination of rich color (even in smaller sized crystals), great luster and wonderful internal gemminess puts them amongst the finest quality Aquamarine crystals in the world in my opinion. This beautiful small miniature specimen is a rich blue colored hexagonal prism, with a few seconday crystals sitting perpendicularly near the termination. One of the best aspects of the piece is the fact that it's not dull or etched, but has SHAPR and SMOOTH lustrous faces. It's also doubly-terminated, which is not common for the material in my experience. The center of the crystal is nearly eye-clean and considering the thickness, it's amazingly dark in color. Great quality all around, and the fact that there are a few crystals present gives it some character as opposed to a single "stick". Attention Beryl collectors or gem crystal collectors, don't miss out on this beautiful crystal from this limited discovery in Vietnam.
