When these crystals first hit the market, they were a huge hit as they were simply some of the richest blue colored Beryls from any locality in the world. Limited supply combined with the fantastic quality and color has made them incredibly popular and hard to find. I love the fact that even the smaller sized crystals show wonderful saturation of color. Here we have a 6-piece set of single thumbnail sized crystals ranging from 1.6 x 0.5 x 0.3 cm to 1.0 x 0.3 x 0.2 cm. All of the crystals are sharp, gemmy and lustrous and show excellent color despite the fact that they are fairly thin prisms. It's important to note that the crystals have smooth well-formed faces, and aren't heavily etched like some we've seen from this locality. The clarity ranges from fairly gemmy to WATER CLEAR. Four of the six crystals are terminated, but two of them are contacted, so not every crystal is perfect. A great set of these attractive and hard to find Aquas from this interesting locality in Vietnam.
