Aquamarine

Item Description

A classic, and now difficult to find, gemmy crystal of light greenish-blue Aquamarine from the famous locality at Jaqueto. This area has produced some of the most distinctive etched Beryl crystals extant, and since very little has been available for many years, they are highly prized and coveted by collectors. This piece is etched, but still retains some of its original crystal faces (including a smooth basal pinacoid) and is extremely gemmy as you can see. A cool piece to pick up if you're a thumbnail collector, or if you collect gem crystals, Brazilian minerals or even Aquas.
