Item Description
A stunning, water-clear, gem aqua with beautiful color. It is not pale or pastel, but rather the classic riveting sky blue you would want in a Shigar aqua. A piece like this can easily run $2500-5000 in a rather broad range, simply depending on where and when you get it. When a crystal is gemmy from top to bottom like this, they charge a premium from the source all the way along the supply chain - and rightly so. For me, it was part of a big lot and I can afford to amortise and risk at auciton but I surely have more than $1000 in it, any way you amortise. The major crystal is complete all around, pristine, and so clean and clear it looks carved and fake - but is not! The sidecar at the base adds a bit of 3-dimensional and contrasting effect to balance the tall one, but is incomplete and really just accent. The source dealers would never sell a gem cluster at this price, I can tell you. 72 grams. Valued $3500
