Item Description

When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the modern age of mineral collecting. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Paki Himalayas, especially the pieces from around Shigar. This locality has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine specimens in recent years. This specimen features a superb, sharp, lustrous, GEM/gemmy, soft blue color prismatic crystal group sitting atop a mound of crystallized white Feldspar crystals. There is a small secondary gem quality prism of Aquamarine off to the side of the piece for an added touch. The piece can be displayed from several angles, and for my money, some of the best matrix for Aquas is white Feldspar. A very attractive matrix display specimen with great aesthetics and color contrast from this most pretigious of Pakistani pegmatite localities. Valued at $900-$1000.
