Item Description
This large and rich specimen is ALL AQUA! It features a cluster of sharp, gemmy, elongated aquamarine crystals to 7 cm, spraying out like dragonfly wings on a log atop a massive 6-inch crystal of aquamarine. That base IS a solid, single crystal, cleaved in situ on both ends but then rehealed at the broken edges by the later aquamarine growth, so that this is properly now a "floater", complete all around with no attachment points. I purchased this by email/phone form Pakistan when it was mined, because the cluster looked so bizarre and 3-dimensional. I paid north of $2500 for the piece, but when it arrived the long frontal crystal had come off - it is now, cleanly, repaired. If I did not admit to the crystal coming off, I do not thikn you could prove it was repaired, or suspect it, anyhow. Still, now up for auction at less than I paid, this is an amazingly impressive aqua for the price range, and just "different" from others. The central shard is healed at both ends, and the clusters atop float upon it (with minor white albite feldspar matrix). Valued $2500
