When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the modern age of mineral collecting. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Pakistani Himalayas, especially in the Shigar Valley. This specimen is a very good quality, sharp group with GEM quality crystals, glassy luster and the typical light "Aqua" blue color for a piece this size. Aquas are always high in demand, and gem quality specimens are not as easy to find as one might think.
