One of, if not the most prolific source of gem grade Aquamarine is the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. These gems from have been mined for decades, and they are still among the best and most bountiful examples of this blue variety of Beryl in the world. Here we have a lovely soft blue Aquamarine gem with virtually eye clean clarity and an "Oval Brilliant" cut. It's a decent size stone for a pendant or a ring if you so wish, but it would also stand alone as a nice little single stone in a gem box. Aquamarine is the birthstone for March, so this would make a nice gift for someone with a birthday in that month.
