Beryl is a diverse gem species, which comes in virtually every color of the rainbow. Aquamarines are probably the most abundant of the gem Beryls, found in multiple world localities in good quantities. This particular gem is a beautiful soft icy blue Aquamarine from the Brazilian gem fields. This stone is virtually eye-clean with an "Oval Brilliant" cut. It's a decent size stone for a pendant if you so wish, but it would also stand alone as a nice little single stone in a gem box. Gem quality Aquas are becoming more and more difficult to buy (for reasonable prices) from Brazil, and it seems that the cost of these gems keeps going up every year.
