Item Description

Great ice-blue color saturation on this pristine, gemmy aquamarine crystal from Jos, Nigeria. The contrasting embedded oxides in the frosted, satin luster prism faces enhance the fine, frosted, complexly tapering, pinacoidal termination faces. A contact, lower on one prism face, where another crystal once, has no damage, per se. The blue color intensity is way above your usual Pakistan or Brazilian aquamarines. Specimens of this quality were recovered in the 1980s to early 1990s.
