Item Description

I know that Indian specimens are everywhere, but you must appreciate them for what they are. They are simply some of the finest crystallized examples of their respective species extant. This piece is actually from a find from nearly 20 years ago, and came from the collection of Brian Kosnar. It features sharp, rather lustrous, translucent crystals of Apophyllite which are included with pale green Celadonite and brownish Specularite (Hematite) to create a really unique and eye-catching color combination. It's an attractive small cabinet size piece, and will probably end up being a great bargain for somebody. Some of the Apophyllite crystals are actually not included, and show some translucence. Additionally, there seems to be some small radial groups of possibly Prehnite or Gyrolite on the Apophyllite crysatls as well. Hard to photograph (although we really tried to show it off as much as possible), and really fun to view in person. One day (eventually) India will not produce any more of these Zeolites, and they will more than likely receive great recognition for being the amazing display specimens that they are.
