Apophyllite & Stilbite ex Obodda

An aesthetic and unusually sculptural combination from Jalgaon and the Herb Obodda dealer stock. The brecciated basalt matrix plates look layered and are dramatically and richly covered with cathedrals of gemmy green apophyllite crystals and large pearlescent upright stilbite blades. The striking and beautiful large apophyllite cathedral on the edge is 2.8 cm tall. Overall, this showy piece is in good shape. One apophyllite on the edge has a cleaved tip and there looks to be only one stilbite in the interior with a broken edge. Rare and excellent combination material in this form. Valued by Herb at $450, more than five years ago.
