Apophyllite (rare locality specimen) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A hard to find specimen of Apophyllite from Murdochville featuring sharp, well-formed, thick tabular crystals with a pearly luster and a silvery colored interior - with a white exterior - measuring up to 7 mm on matrix. The piece is a in superb shape overall and I really can't see any damage from the display side. This material is virtually impossible to locate on the market, and the mine has been closed since 2002 (it opened in 1955) and if you collect Canadian minerals, unusually colored species or general Apophyllites, don't miss out on this one.
