Apophyllite on Stilbite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A rarely seen and eye-catching specimen from the Lambert Quarry featuring many very sharp, well-formed, white/colorless crystals of Apophyllite measuring up to 1.3 cm long sitting atop a layer of peach colored Stilbite on basalt matrix. The upper portion of the specimen is undamaged, but the periphery is contacted where it the piece was contacted as it was removed from the pocket wall. If you collect minerals from the Pacific Northwest, or Apophyllite and / or zeolite species, don't miss out on this one. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#727). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics. She nearly lived 100 years from April 1920 - March 2020.
