Apophyllite on Stalactitic Quartz (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

Many sharp, very lustrous, white / colorless crystals of blocky Apophyllite measuring up to 2.0 cm sit atop stalactitic Quartz matrix. The piece is in great shape overall. Indian Zeolites (and associated minerals) may be fairly common on the market, but you cannot deny the fact that they are colorful, attractive and highly displayable along with the fact that many of them are the finest examples of their respective species extant! Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8709). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
