Item Description

The Millington Quarry in New Jersey has been a source of some of the best crystallized specimens from the New Jersey Trap Rocks. This piece hosts an intergrown group of lustrous, translucent, white Apophyllite measuring 1.8 cm across which is sitting on lovely "water green" color crystals of Datolite. The crystals have superb luster and razor sharp faces, along with nearly water-clear transparency in areas. The largest Datolite crystal measures 1.6 cm, and the quality is superb, and one does not see Datolite of this quality from virtually any locality. A wonderful example of this classic Trap Rock material. From the New Jersey collection of Rich Kosnar.
