Apophyllite on Datolite and Ilvaite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Dozens of sparkling, jewel-like colorless crystals of Apophyllite measuring up to 3 mm sitting on colorless Datolite and black Ilvaite on matrix from Dal'negorsk. I've never quie seen a piece like this loaded with small glistening Apophyllites from this area. A cool piece to add to a suite of Russian minerals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8273). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
