Apophyllite on Amethyst scepter (rare)

Item Description

The Fengjiashan Mine produces an incredible variety of specimens, including some really unusual and rare associations. Sparkly, tan apophyllite crystals preferentially encrust one side of the glassy, pretty blush-purple amethyst scepter. The sharply terminated scepter is water-clear, while the stalk is translucent. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, one prism face is contacted, but has no damage, per se and the termination has very trivial bruising. This is an exceptionlly fine and rare combination specimen from this locale.
