The discovery of these amazing fluorapophyllite "disco balls" in the early 2000's while drilling large diameter water wells is certainly one of the Great Finds of the Deccan Traps. A 6.5 cm "ball" of densely intergrown, gemmy, mint-green to colorless tetragonal crystals is dramatically set on the large basalt plate covered with cream-colored stilbite crystals.
