Apophyllite and Stilbite (Smale Coll.)

Item Description

Gemmy, water-clear, green to colorless apophyllite crystals and pearlescent stilbite blades form a showy and excellent cluster from Jalgaon and the Steve Smale Collection. The dominant, 3.2 cm apophyllite crystal has a very glassy, flat-topped, pyramidal termination and the large stilbite is 2.5 x 2.1 cm. A couple of the secondary apophyllites have cleaved terminations, but they certainly are not a detraction, as you can see.
