A large, floater, textbook dodecahedral almandine garnet crystal has been pseudomorphed by chamosite. This is a classic species from the old iron mines of Baraga County. Rare, large and excellent material from the Dennis Mullane Collection ; and comes with a faded Bourget Brothers label dating from the 1950 or 60s. this is one of the largest such examples we have seen. valued $800
