Apatite with Quartz

Panasqueira is one of the more classic "modern" European localities. Although the area is defunct, it produced some amazing specimens about 40 years ago. It is certainly one of the most distinctive localities in the world and it has produced some amazing Apatite specimens. This piece features excellent quality, sharp, lustrous, translucent, hexagonal, green color, hexagonal Apatite crystals measuring up to 7 mm which are associated with Quartz. The piece is in good shape on the display side and it's a very attractive specimen from this well-known mining district. These specimens are simply not seen on the market these days.
