Panasqueira is one of the more classic "modern" European localities. Although the area is defunct, it produced some amazing specimens about 40 years ago. It is certainly one of the most distinctive localities in the world and it has produced some amazing Apatite specimens. This piece features a very good sized, excellent quality, doubly-termianted, sharp, lustrous, translucent, hexagonal, soft green color, hexagonal Apatite crystal with a cute accenting metallic silvery colored crystal of Arsenopyrite. The piece is in great shape on the display side (partially contacted on the back) and it's a very attractive specimen from this well-known mining district.
