Item Description
Please note: I can't find a listing for the Esmeralda Hiddenite Mine in any database, but I'm copying the information from the label. With that said, this piece features small Apatite and Albite crystals on Quartz from this historic mining area in North Carolina, but the little arrows on the piece don't seem to point to them specifically. They actually point to little crystals of what I believe to be Rutile. An interesting reference piece of this historic material. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2831). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
