Apatite (rough and cut set)

Item Description

This is a different kind of rough and cut set because it features a "cat's eye" gem paired up with a matrix mineral specimen. The specimen of Apatite is from Dassu, Pakistan and hosts typical hexagonal soft green crystals sitting atop cream colored Feldspar matrix. The gem side of the set is a good quality "Round Cat's Eye" stone with more of a mossy green hue from south India. It looks wonderful in strong sunlight. You don't really see sets like this, and it's truly an unusual way of putting together a rough and cut, but I think it's unique and interesting.
