Apatite (rich color)

Item Description

This is a wonderful, rich saturated green/blue gem of Apatite from Madagascar. When you look at the stone in the light, you can see there is almost a bit of pleochroism, as the color changes ever so slightly when the stone is rotated on a different axis. I see flashes of yellow, green and blue depending upon the temperature of the light source. If nothing else, the stone is at least bi-colored, if not pleochroic. It has a "Brilliant Oval" cut with nearly eye-clean clarity. A beautiful Apatite with a color combination that is not typically seen in the material.
