Item Description
A slightly translucent, soft blue color, hexagonal prism section of Apatite (probably Fluorapatite) from an undisclosed locality in Arendal, Norway. The piece is missing both of its terminations, but this is the FIRST piece of Apatite that we've had to offer from this area. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5999). It's fitting that Kay would have a piece of this material in her collection, as it seems that she literally had a piece of EVERYTHING from Eruope. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
