Item Description

Apatite specimens are VERY RARE from this well-known Tuscany locale. Lustrous, gemmy to translucent, sharply terminated, amber apatite crystals to 1.3 cm are sparsely scattered on the sculptural, glassy, feldspar matrix with lustrous, black, biotite plates. The apatite crystal faces are water-clear to frosted to etched. Excellent and rare combination material from this locale from the Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and obtained in a trade with the S. Fiori Collection in Rome in 1978.
