Apatite on DT Quartz and Albite (RARE for locale)

Item Description

A fantastic and rare combination specimen from Paraiba, Brazil. A gemmy and lustrous, 1.7 cm, intergrown pair of textbook, hexagonal, apatite crystals are aesthetically perched on a mound of albite crystals, which in turn are on the side of a transparent, doubly terminated quartz crystal! The apatites have very light, gorgeous, "pariaba blue" rims followed by a colorless zone, with striking grass-green cores. Striking and beautiful, indeed! We have not seen a combination of this quality and color, previously. The quartz is pristine and the apatite cluster has only a bit of contacting on one edge. Value of such a rarity??? Estimated $700-900.
