Item Description

An excellent cluster of sharp, attractive green Fluorapatite crystals nicely placed on a matrix of lustrous white Albite. The Fluorapatites cascade down the front of the Albite with the 2.2 cm main crystal sitting up above the others perfectly at the top of the specimen. The other crystals range in size from 1.1 to 1.5 cm across. All of the crystals have sharp, tabular hexagonal form and glassy luster. They exhibit a dark forest green interior with a thin, just slightly lighter colored, 2 mm, translucent to transparent zone at the periphery. The Fluorapatites are in excellent condition, and their beauty and quality show through. They have excellent short-wave fluorescence. A very choice and aesthetic example from this famous 2007 find, among the most classic of all Brazilian apatite or gem crystal finds for the unique style. Specimens like this, of this high quality, usually sell for $1000-1500 at shows.
