Apatite (neon color)

Neon blue Apatite really only comes from two places in the world in any capacity. The Bahia area of Brazil produces a very intense deep shade of blue Apatite, but the stones are often very small. The Madagascar material is probably best known around the world for its intense colors that range from a strong blue-green to a rich pure blue color. This material all but disappeared from the market about a decade ago, but has made a comeback in the gem world as I've seen it popping up online and at show. This particular stone exhibits the classic neon blue color and is a decent size stone for the material. It is virtually eye-clean with a "Round Brilliant" cut.
