Apatite (neon blue)

Item Description

The classic neon blue Apatites from Ipira, are well known around the world, but are not terribly common on the market, or in most collections. This piece is a good representative specimen of this material featuring a well-formed, fairly sharp, lustrous, prismatic, hexagonal crystal with a pyramidal termination and a deep neon blue color (better seen when backlit). Good condition all around, and despite some crazing, is better than the vast majority of these I have seen.
