Item Description
The "Faden" phenomenon is typically seen in Alpine and "Alpine-type" minerals such as Quartz and Epidote, but every once in a while, one will come across a "Faden" Apatite specimen. This crystal group exhibits a notable "Faden" (German word for string) that runs parallell to the prism faces of the crystals (perpendicular to the pinacoids). This is a really attractive, translucent gemmy, sharp, lustrous, soft pink, hexagonal, tabular crystals group and one of the few we've seen from Paksitan. The piece displays very well and there is very little damage overall. A unique Apatite from Pakistan. Hard to photograph and BETTER in person.
