Item Description
Apatite is well-known from the Fulford District in Colorado, but good specimens are not common, and especially difficult to get out of the state. For all the different mineral environments that exist in Colorado, it's no surprise that there is a pegmatite that produces attractive gemmy yellow-green apatite crystals from time to time. This crystal is glassy, mostly translucent, with a gemmy termination and textbook hexagonal form. Complete all-around and pristine. Contacting is noted on a couple of prism faces, but there is no damage, per se. Very highly representative of this uncommon locale and small find. 49 grams.
