Item Description
Fluorapatite has been known to have come from this area in Colorado, but good ones seem to seldom make it out of the state. A dealer showed up at the 2008 Denver Show with a small batch of these yellow-green apatites from a new find in Colorado. New finds of gem crystals in Colorado are rare. The crystal is glassy, mostly translucent, but has a gemmy termination and textbook, hexagonal form. Complete all-around, the sidewear is on the back and out of sight. The backlit photo higlights the gemminess and color saturation. Very highly representative of this uncommon locale and small find.
